Inquiry based leaning: this type of learning is used by the students when they, not satisfied with the information given by the teacher, look for another sources of information and investigate to expand their knowledge. Students are encouraged by the teacher to do their own research so then can fully satisfy their need of information.  The teacher gives the necessary information to the students, but then they feel the necessity of getting more information to be prepared in class.

Students do research to get more information about the topics after the teacher gives the necessary information to start.

Students have to stay focused into their task when doing the research.

Students get involve into field research.

The teacher encourages the students to do the research by facilitating to them the basic and necessary information.

The teacher provides questions to the students about what they should look for

Engagement with a complex problem or scenario.

Students direct the lines of enquiry and the methods employed.

The enquiry requires students to draw on existing knowledge.

Task simulates curiosity in the students.

Responsibility falls to the student for analyzing and presenting that evidence in appropriate ways and in support of their own response to the problem.

The classroom becomes more dynamic.

The students become their own source of information (They look for the information)

Doing research keeps the students focused on their work.

Makes the students more responsible.
Gives the students the need of more information.

WARM UPS!

What is a warm up?

As in sports players have to warm up before a game, students also need to warm up before learning.
Warming up prepares us and gets us in the mood for learning.
It also helps us to feel comfortable in the classroom, it helps us to socialize and communicate.

Warm ups can be not only funny but also annoying.

In my case I have never been in an annoying warm up...but every warm up has pros and cons...

For example the fist warm up we had last class: Massiel's

"Change if..."

The game was very fun, very vivid, people moved a lot, we had a good time BUT, not all of the students followed the rules correctly, according to the directions everyone who had the mentioned characteristic had to move, but not everyone did...maybe because they were affraid of standing in the moddle of the circle and continuing giving another order...

The things were a little different with the following warm up...

"Do what I do and say what I say...Say and do the opposite of what I say"

This game was also very funny and vivid, we had a lot of movement, we needed team work and sync...
the only problem I could find was that we needed more spance and it was just a lil bit noisy...

Finally, there are a lot more warm ups that we have not played yet...hope we can play more soon and continue learning more about this kind of activities...considering the importance of warm ups, every teacher and future teacher must have the abbility to perform correctly this activities, they help to improove student's learning and socialization skills in the clasroom
